Requirements

As an Automotive General Manager, you must be a proven leader with a high level of integrity and a strong work ethic. You must also be highly organized and detail-oriented with solid analytical, decision-making and planning abilities. It is also important that you display exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and that you are dedicated to providing superior customer service while motivating your staff to do the same.

Specific qualifications for the position include:

Associate's degree or two years of relevant experience
Prior supervisory experience in sales, collections, hospitality or retail operations
Willingness to complete our comprehensive management training program
Passionate desire for excellence
Ability to solve problems and implement innovative solutions in a variety of situations
Ability to prioritize and effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment;
Computer proficiency and strong mathematical skills
Willingness to relocate to any of our locations at least twice during your first 12 months with us
Basic knowledge of and interest in automobiles, a plus
 

Responsibilities

As an Automotive General Manager, you will ensure the overall success of your dealership by effectively managing dealership staff, overseeing daily operations, planning and developing short- and long-term goals and objectives and meeting requirements based on our company standards.

Your specific duties as a General Manager will include:

Recruiting, hiring and overseeing the training of all staff positions
Monitoring daily operations and implementing improvements as needed
Overseeing P&L and financials and ensuring the continued profitability of your dealership
Motivating your staff by setting a positive, enthusiastic example
Creating short- and long-range cost effective advertising plans, sales promotions, staffing needs, lease promotions and compensation plans for the dealership
Responding to and working to resolve customer complaints, ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction
