Robbie and Ricky McKoy bought their Saturn on a Saturday.
That Saturn was the McKoy’s first used car purchased at America’s Car-Mart over 10 years ago. And now the loyal Car-Mart customers are on their eighth Car-Mart vehicle. After the Saturn came a Mustang, Monte Carlo, Chevy Silverado, Cadillac, Ford F-150 and Chevy Trax. Recently, they purchased their second family vehicle at Car-Mart of Rogers, Ark.
Indeed, when Robbie and Ricky need a used vehicle, they head to Car-Mart – and Car-Mart is ready and waiting. They like the vehicles, the customer service and the car-buying process. Most of all, they like the Car-Mart associates.
“Car-Mart is nothing like anybody else. There’s no comparison to any other place. ’Hey, Mr. McKoy,’ they’ll say. They know my name, and that makes me feel good,” says Ricky, whose favorite Car-Mart vehicle was his 2005 Mustang GT. “They make you feel special and that does it for me.”
“We don’t go anywhere else,” Robbie adds. “We go right to Car-Mart!”
Trade-In and Trade-Up
Four of the McKoy’s vehicles are trade-ins. Recently, they traded their 2010 Ford Truck F-150 for a 2015 Chevy Trax. They weren’t going to trade it in, but with high gas prices, they decided to see what their truck was worth.
“Their [Car-Mart] offer on our truck paid it off, and it gave us a decent down payment. Plus, it kept our payment the same,” Robbie says. “Car-Mart will work with you and do everything they can to make it work for you.”
The trade-in was a smooth process, as well as fast, easy and efficient. “We were in and out in less than two hours,” notes Ricky, with a busy family of seven children and 23 grandchildren.
Car-Mart cares about you and treats you like family
“It’s just a family feeling at Car-Mart. They care,” says Ricky. “Every time I go to Car-Mart, they greet me like they’re happy to see me, even if I have a payment issue. You can’t go elsewhere and get that kind of service.”
In fact, Robbie and Ricky enjoy going to Car-Mart. Sometimes Ricky will go to Car-Mart just to talk to Alex, his favorite sales associate. They’ll eat popcorn, drink coffee and ‘shoot the breeze.’ “It’s a good feeling when you go to Car-Mart – you know you’re going to be treated great,” he says. “I’ve made good friends with the Car-Mart folks.”
“The associates treat you like a person and not a number. They treat you with respect. And they’ll work with you,” adds Ricky, while adding they always buy the Peace of Mind package to avoid paying for a major repair that might be $1,000 or more.
When Ricky was experiencing medical issues, Car-Mart helped them. “They said, ‘let’s see what we can work out.’ They understand,” remarks Robbie. “And they always ask about Ricky.”
“Car-Mart is like a pillow,” Ricky adds. “You know you can go to sleep, you’re comfortable.”
How does Car-Mart keep Ricky and Robbie on the road?
Every time the McKoys need help, Car-Mart is there for them. “Anytime I have an issue with my car, I call Car-Mart, and they say, ‘come on in, we’ll check it out.’ And I’m back on the road in no time. Never fails,” Ricky says. “They’re good at what they do. And their word is their bond.”
“Car-Mart is like a second family to us,” concludes Ricky. “They are there all the time.”
