When Jana Degadoi talks about America’s Car-Mart, she doesn’t sound like a customer. She sounds like family. “I will always go back to Car-Mart,” says Jana. And when you learn her story, it’s easy to understand why.
Over 25 years ago, Jana and her husband, Anthony, were riding the city bus to shop for used cars. One day, they passed America’s Car-Mart and spotted a blue 1999 Oldsmobile Royale. They had to stop.
“We fell in love with that car,” Jana smiles. “We took it on so many trips.” They drove that car for years until it reached the end of its road. But their Car-Mart experience stayed with them, and they came back for more.
A relationship, not a transaction
The Degadoi family has purchased five vehicles from Car-Mart: the Oldsmobile, a Chevy Lumina, a Town & Country van that took them on countless trips to St. Louis, a Ford Edge they still own today, and, most recently, a Chevy Equinox.
What keeps them coming back isn’t just the cars, it’s the people. “The Car-Mart people will talk to you,” Jana explains. “I’ve been to other dealerships where there was no communication. Here, they listen.”
Jana appreciates the teamwork at Car-Mart, especially Sales Associate Sabrina Conrow, who guided her through her recent car purchase. The process was smooth and unhurried.
A personal touch from America’s Car-Mart
For Jana, the true meaning of Car-Mart became clear during one of her most challenging moments. Hospitalized with COVID, the Car-Mart team helped. “They restructured our loan,” she says. “They went above and beyond to help us the best they could. They worked with us.”
Now, walking into Car-Mart feels like coming home. “When you walk through the door, it’s like visiting family again,” Jana says. “You’re greeted right away. Smiles.”
There’s even a routine. Anthony heads for the popcorn (for his wife, he says), grabs a coffee, and settles in. It’s comfortable. Personal. Human.

With three kids, outdoor hobbies, and ten acres to manage, reliable transportation matters. They trust the vehicles and the care Car-Mart provides. “Car-Mart goes over the vehicles with a fine-tooth comb,” says Jana. “If I see something and ask, I know it’ll get fixed.”
Even when finances were tight, Car-Mart worked with them. That’s why Jana recommends Car-Mart to friends and family. “Go to Car-Mart and tell them what you need,” she says. “They’ll work with you.”
After five cars and decades of memories, Jana sums it up simply: “It’s a great experience buying from America’s Car-Mart. They don’t rush you out. They get to know you. They ask how you’re doing, how the family is. That’s why we’ll always come back.”
