Amanda Forrester has found her home and calling at America’s Car-Mart.
She joined the company in 2018 as Manager-in-Training in Russellville, Ark. She then was named Manager in Conway South, Ark., and opened that dealership in July 2019. Conway was her home, but Car-Mart had bigger plans for Amanda. On August 1, 2020, she was promoted to General Manager at Springfield South, Mo.
“I’m thrilled to be in Springfield, and I’m excited to show Springfield what Car-Mart is capable of,” says Amanda. “The sky’s the limit.”
Car-Mart stays on Sunshine Street
Amanda recently relocated her dealership from 3245 W. Sunshine Street to 1045 W. Sunshine Street. “We’re growing, and our new facility is bigger and better than ever. It’s spacious, bright, and refreshing. It’s just an overall better environment for us to do business with our wonderful customers,” says Amanda, while adding the used car dealer can now showcase 100 vehicles.

The Sunshine Street location boasts Car-Mart’s new logo and brand colors, which are bold, clean, and modern. The lobby, one of Amanda’s favorite spots, is warm and welcoming. It features a charging bar with outlets for charging various kinds of phones, as well as a refrigerator with refreshments for customers. The hallways are wide, the offices are spacious, and the facility has a bay for prepping vehicles and handling minor vehicle repairs.
“Our new location is a great opportunity for Car-Mart to better serve Springfield South,” says Amanda. “It’s a total re-design from our previous location and offers a completely different experience. It’s so inviting.

This is just another way for us to show our customers how much we appreciate them being part of our Car-Mart family. We’re so excited to welcome our customers to our new facility.”
“And we’re glad we’re still on Sunshine Street because we can continue adding some sunshine to our customers’ lives,” Amanda continues. “We like to say the sun shines bigger and brighter on us at our new location.”
Car-Mart is about people
For Amanda, Car-Mart is more than a building; it’s about the people. It’s her associates, customers, and community. She enjoys their stories – especially those buying their seventh or twelfth vehicle from Car-Mart. She frequently lends a helping hand to customers and enjoys giving back and being a part of the community.
“I love the people of Car-Mart. The relationships are the greatest,” she says. “People are interesting. Everyone has a wild story, so it’s awesome to get to know them and their stories.”

And now she’s excited to show Springfield what Car-Mart can do for them. “We have payments that will fit customers’ budgets and work schedules. We’ll help build their credit as they make payments on time. And when we sit down with them, it’s a give and take,” says Amanda. “That’s what I really like. It’s a conversation we have together, and we come to an agreement.”
Car-Mart continues to be home for Amanda
Initially, Amanda’s husband, Jason, encouraged her to work for Car-Mart. “Car-Mart is an amazing company,” he told her. They married in 2019, and together they have six children, ages 13 – 26 years. And Jason is just as excited to be a part of Car-Mart as Amanda. After all, their daughter, Cortney Forrester, is an assistant manager at Car-Mart of Searcy, Ark.

“Car-Mart is one of the most amazing companies I’ve ever worked for. It’s one of the only companies with the patience to train its associates and help us better ourselves professionally and personally,” Amanda says. “This is the first time in my life I can support my family. It allows me to run my business and still have time to spend time with my family.”
“I love my job, and my location is amazing,” concludes Amanda. Indeed, she’s found her home at America’s Car-Mart of Springfield South.
